Hey Oak, midori here. Thanks for this. I am very curious about what you wrote above. I am a ciswoman, but I also get annoyed when people have to box me as a “girl" which has all the socially constructed associations.

My question is if you don’t mind your past body, and you only made the change because the society can’t deal with a he pronoun with a skirt, then would you say you are even more completely boxed by the social construct of gender features?

I feel annoyed that the society has made life so difficult for people on the margins (I don’t even think it’s that marginal). But I feel one can find freedom by ignoring it rather than fighting against it. I am writing from a place of pure discussion, please don’t mistake me as judging. I really want to learn more, for there are so many of my friends who aren’t 100% comfortable with their gender roles.
