Hi Brigette, I can understanding how ears can break when someone got their grammar so wrong! Languages, however, do evolve all the time, and are largely motivated by socioeconomic and political changes. New words are being created daily and old words alter their uses. Some changed remain in the dictionary and used permanently.

As an anthropologist, I am writing from the perspective of curiosity, what’s going to happen with languages in response to the gender equality movement? How will this movement provoked discussions in other groups, including the unexpected group of linguists?
