Hi Christopher - your comparison is fair and I like how you have considered the social context and your own background. I definitely think that the US, depending on the cities and states, can be a place for success for immigrants, esp given its capitalistic nature . that's the American dream afterall.

I guess during covid, i was quite taken aback by the hate towards Asian (as an asian woman myself). I have done alright in London, but perhaps in another city in the UK, the story could be different.
