I am pretty alpha too, strong minded, quick witted and straight talking. What I didn't talk about in the article (and I can only talk about this from a daughter's perspective), is how alpha people aren't insensitive. You probably know it first hand as an alpha female, I guess my point is as two alpha females argue from a place of love, we must start seeing the 'hidden sides' of things - i.e the daughter's sensitivity.

Perhaps shifting the focus to her vulnerability (and your own) will help to improve the communication.
