Some argue that the relationship between a child and their parents are one for learning, some even say that it’s usually clearing out issues of the childhood (most likely involving unresolved problems with the parents) that leads to spiritual awakening and other breakthroughs.

It has taken me years to accept that as a daughter, for the pain my mother has inflicted on me was too significant for me to handle. There are no good mother or good daughter, just a unique relationship and many lessons.
