Thanks for your sharing!!! A few months ago a Taiwanese YouTube channel was discovered to have plagerized many other artists' art work. They copied the art stroke for stroke from Pinterest to canvas and used them to decorate their client’s home (they are a interior design Chanel) and subsequent also sell individual prints they have recreated online to their customers. This was found out by the original artists, who are likely to not speak Chinese at all.
That channel eventually got enough attention that they took down the relevant videos and goods, and apologised. However, they went quite for merely a few months and is back posting videos again (although I hope they have learned the lesson and no more copycats).
People’s comments are extremes. Some said that they are shameless to make a comeback, and some support them as they have learned their lesson.
The world of plagerism is so complicated. Can we forgive people who have plagerized and can there clearer guidelines on the punishment for such people?
