Thanks so much for this, I felt as personal with this article as it’s relatable. It left me feeling perplexed. Perhaps as a Chinese, we also have this concept of filial duty, and my mum once slapped me when I told her it wasn’t my choice to be born. No one thinks this statement is rightful, everyone called me harsh and mean. But I didn’t ask for any of the suffering…very inspiring, thank you. Midori x
